What does all those icons means?

It is our aim to be concistent with the use of icons throughout all our applications. These icons are listed and explained below. Some of these icons will not be used in some of our applications but we provide the complete list of icons here. Find the icon you want to know more about in the list below.

(Please note that the colors of these icons might vary from different applications.)

General icons

Paint-specific icons

TAP

Represents the Tap mode - When you tap this icon you will be taken to an interactive part of the application.

WATCH

Represents the Watch mode - When you tap this icon you will be taken to a non-interactive part of the application. The typical setup of this part of our applications will be equivalent to watching a movie.

PAINT

Represents the Paint mode - When you tap this icon you will be taken to a coloring book or a part equivalent to a coloring book.

MENU

Tapping this icon will bring you back to the closest Menu, the starting point for your current activity.

TEXT

This icon will be present in parts of the application where you there is a text that can be displayd. This would typically be the Story of a Children’s Book. Tapping it will bring up the text which then will stay visible until this icon is tapped again.

ZOOM TOOL

These icons will be present whenever there is a zooming alternative available for a certain object. Typically this would be when the TEXT-icon has been tapped and the Story of a book is being displayed. Tapping the plus-zoom tool will increase the size of that text for easy reading. The icon will then change to the minus-zoom tool and tapping that one will bring the make the text zoom back to it’s original size.

PAINT SETTINGS ICON

Tap and Hold this icon for a very short while to display the Paint Settings. In the Paint Settings you will find all the things related to the Paint-part of an application. The settings can vary from different applications.

BRUSH SIZE ICONS

Tap one of these to change the size of the brush. Plus-icon increases brush size and the Minus-icon decreases the size.

PAINT STYLE ICONS

This is an icon that displays the currently selected Paint Style. Tapping this icon will change the style. There are different kinds of Style-sets for different Paint-applications. The current Paint-styles and icons are as follows:

Drawing will occur on the whole canvas and below the line art.

Drawing will occur inside (and below) the lines of the line art image.

Drawing will occur on top of the line art image and on the whole canvas.

Line art will be hidden - Drawing will occur on a empty canvas.

MATCH

Represents the Match mode - When you tap this icon you will be taken to a pairing Match game.

Paint inside and below the line art - Coloring background with selected color.

Paint inside and below the line art - Coloring background with a variation of the selected color.

Paint inside and below the line art - Coloring background with another variation of the selected color.

Paint inside and below the line art - No coloring of background will occur.

PUZZLE

Represents the Puzzle mode - When you tap this icon you will be taken to the Puzzle menu from which you can choose a number of Jigsaw and Slide Puzzles.
